Museum Pieces - PUMST

Museum pieces at the PUMST

PUMST’s museum pieces are modest, but a unique collection.  They provide visual variety complementing the archival holdings...

Assembled over decades, the exhibits were usually acquired in the form of gifts or donations to PUMST by individuals either directly or indirectly connected to the Polish Underground State. The exhibits include inter alia seals, flashes and badges, parts of uniforms, medals and gorgets, as well as a unique radio trans-receiver known as a ‘Peepshtock’.  Many of these were used in occupied Poland by AK radio operators. The collection is not permanently on display but used only in exhibitions organised by PUMST or on loan to other Institutions.
