Continuing to address last year's backlog, we are pleased to announce the signing in 2025 of an agreement with the Polish State Archives (NDAP) and the National Digital Archive (NAC) regarding the inclusion of our archival inventories in the ZOSIA database and their publication on the SZUKAJ w ARCHIWACH portal.
In the first stage, once again, thanks to the support of the Department for Culture and National Heritage (MKiDN), within the WABiM Program (Support for Archives, Libraries, and Museums of Poland Abroad= – 2025 edition), we managed to prepare and publish 16 archival inventories of collections that are part of the repository of the Polish Underground Movement Study Trust in London.
Thus, our collections have for the first time "settled" in the largest Polish "national archive". We hope that this will allow us to reach a significantly larger number of users. Ultimately, the value of each archival collection increases directly with the number of people using it.
In 2026, we have planned to place and publish additional inventories, in the hope that in a few years, we will be able to publish catalogues of all archival collections under the care of the Institute. Considering the specifics of the archival system and the manner of cataloguing collections and individual archival units, this is, however, a significant logistical challenge. We ask, therefore, for your patience and understanding.
We thank NDAP, NAC, and MKiDN for their assistance and look forward to further fruitful cooperation.
