It is the PUMST’s flagship publication in six volumes, published between the years 1970 and 1989. Volume III - 1976.
Volume III was published in 1976 with 274 documents and covers the period between the Soviet Union breaking off diplomatic relations as a result of discovery of the graves of Polish officers in April 1943 at Katyn Wood, near Smolensk, the Soviet offensive, occupation of Eastern territory of Poland, Action "BURZA" ("Tempest"), up to the outbreak of Warsaw Uprising on 1 August 1944.
