The Institute of National Rememberance - Poland
Archival & information technology exchange.
The Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), was established in 1998. Close co-operation began with signing of an agreement on 30th of November 2008.
Frequent visits were made by historians and academic staff from the IPN to carry out joint research and publishing ventures. IPN’s archivists and IT specialists have been working with PUMST’s staff, assisting in archiving and digitizing the records. Thanks to their support we have succeeded in archiving and digitizing inter alia one of our most important collections – the records of the Special Section VI of the General Staff and currently are engaged on a long project involving the Boxes (SKrzynie) and reprinting of the most important archival publication, printed between 1970-1989 AK w Dokumentach (The Home Army in Documents), which will be updated with documents of SKrzynie and those held by AAN.
